Exhibit Updates at the Upper Peninsula Children's Museum
The Children's Museum serves as an educational facility in the NMU and Marquette community. Students in Dr. Kusek's GC 310 - Urban Geography course learned about operations and challenges of how to run a non-profit institution. They also helped create a few activities related to geographic content and they built a compost unit to be used for educational purposes.

AAG COVID Internship Assistantship with the UP Children's Museum
Dr. Weronika Kusek secured a grant from the American Association of Geographers to hire a student who wanted to specialize in geography education and non-profit organizations. The student had a paid internship for one semester. with the UP Children's Museum, learning about daily operations, creating and leading online educational programs for children in the community, and assisting with various projects.
Even in the pandemic, faculty did all that they could to offer community-related projects for our students.
