A Hilariously Touching Dance Musical
Book by James Kirkwood Jr. and Nicholas Dante, Music by Marvin Hamlisch, Lyrics by Edward Kleban

God, I hope I get it! Centered around seventeen Broadway dancers, this crowd favorite is as funny as it is intimate. After the first round of cuts at a dance call, Zach, the director and choreographer, asks each remaining dancer to speak about themselves. What follows is a glimpse into their individual lives as they vie for a spot in the chorus line. Winner of 9 Tony Awards, A Chorus Line is sure to make you laugh, cry, and everything in between.

NOTE: This show is rated PG-13 and contains strong language and some mild adult themes that may not be suitable for younger audience members.

A CHORUS LINE is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Tams-Witmark LLC. www.concordtheatricals.com

An Electrifying Dance Musical
Book by Dean Pritchford and Walter Bobbie, Music by Tom Snow, Lyrics by Dean Pritchford

I can’t stand still! Based on the film of the same name, this toe-tapping musical is set in the little southern town of Bomont, where dancing has been outlawed by the Reverend Shaw Moore after a terrible accident. New arrival Ren McCormack is quick to stir up trouble when he catches the eye of Moore’s rebellious daughter, Ariel, and comes up with the idea to throw a dance for the town. With an Oscar-nominated score and dynamic new songs, this show will make you want to cut loose!

NOTE: This show contains alcohol and mild adult themes.

A Portrait of Love, Loss, and Coming Together
WINNER OF THE 2021 PANOWSKI PLAYWRITING COMPETITION
Written by John Mabey

Join us for the world premiere of our 2021 Panowski Playwriting Award winner! Marie and her daughter, Rose Marie, are left adrift after their husband/father, Michael, passes away, leaving a shocking secret behind him. Arnie, Michael’s boyfriend, yearns to heal those who’ve been hurt and unexpectedly discovers a family of his own. Mirroring the erratic path of grief itself, this beautiful play flashes between the moments in time that change us all. A Complicated Hope explores the challenges of both finding a family of choice and letting yourself be found.

Jan Manniko: The Last Place on Earth

Jan Manniko: The Last Place on Earth Promotional Poster

Visual and Performing Arts

Jan (Johnson) Manniko spent her life drawing and painting the people and places that define the Copper Country. This exhibition features nearly forty artworks from throughout Manniko’s career. Intricate, but steady-handed pen and ink drawings of mine buildings, exuberant plein air landscapes, and emotional depictions of people provide a tender decades-long look into the culture of the Copper Country.

Jan Manniko was born in Chicago in 1933. Manniko demonstrated a passion for art beginning in her childhood. She studied at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida, and The Art Institute of Chicago before returning to the Copper Country in the early 1960s. Until her passing in 2013, Jan Manniko lived and worked in Allouez, Michigan, alongside her husband Tom Manniko, a skilled woodcarver. They sold their wares alongside an eclectic array of antiques and found bottles in the iconic red building emblazoned with “The Last Place on Earth.”
