This year, Northern Michigan University is celebrating its 125th year. The below schedule is subject to change, with more events being added as we get closer to the dates.

ON DISPLAY: Beaumier U.P. Heritage Center
NMU's Beaumier U.P. Heritage Center will have an exhibit on display during Homecoming Weekend and beyond.
Located at the front of Gries Hall (across from the digital sign at the intersection of 7th and Tracy ave.)

NMU Homecoming Parade
Join us for the annual Homecoming Parade at 5:30 p.m.
Participants will line up behind the Superior Dome and on Pine Street. The parade will start on Fair Avenue (in front of the Berry Events Center) heading towards Third street. Then go up Third, turn left on Hewitt, then go down Front Street, and finish back behind the Superior Dome.

Bagodowe Gift Game
1 p.m., Superior Dome
Join and participate in a traditional Anishinaabe lacrosse game on Sunday, September 22nd in the Superior Dome.
- If you plan on playing in the game, please wear athletic clothing and bring a small gift as a donation.
- 1pm Listen to Anishinaabe cultural experts about the origins of bagodowe and learn about our shared responsibilities and why we play.
- 1:30 - Teams are selected, practice with Anishinaabe bagodowe players, learn the rules, and strategies on how to play bagodowe.
- 1:45 - Play Bagodowe!
The games will end at 3:00 pm.
Bagodowe sticks and balls are provided. Players in the games are selected on a first-come, first-served basis, but we will make all attempts to ensure everyone gets a chance to play.
This event is free and open to NMU students and the general public.
