Enjoy coffee and light bites while you tour our new office space, meet our team, and learn how we can offer support to start or scale your technology or product-based business!

Virtual Wildcat Fun Run 5K

NMU Alumni Relations is excited to host the Wildcat Fun Run to homecoming!  Wildcats near and far can participate.

Registration is required.  Northern Michigan University will use a portion of the revenue generated by registrations for the event to support the NMU Food Pantry.

Campus Walking Tour

Time: 10 - 11 a.m.
Northern Center | Outside Barnes & Noble

See how the campus has changed with a walking tour of NMU led by a current student! Attendees will be led through the Northern Center, Jamrich Hall, Academic Mall, and residence halls as well as other parts of campus. 

Free Admission, All Ages Welcome.

Historic Campus Walking Tour

Time: 1 - 2 p.m.
Locations: Carillon Towers (Outside of the Northern Center)

Take a journey through Northern's past while learning about the history of NMU while visiting different parts of campus. Led by NMU Alumnus and Beaumier Museum Director Dan Truckey.

Free Admission, all ages welcome.

ON DISPLAY: Beaumier U.P. Heritage Center

Time: 12 - 5 p.m.
Location: Beaumier U.P. Heritage Center, Gries Hall

Above/Under the Surface: The Fisheries of the Upper Great Lakes           

The Beaumier U.P. Heritage Center will open a new exhibition on the history of the Upper Great Lakes fisheries on Thursday, September 22. Entitled, “Above/Under the Surface: The Fisheries of the Upper Great Lakes,” this exhibition will look at the changes that have taken place in the fish populations and the impact of human beings on native fish species. 

The exhibition will run through December 2022 and is free and open to the public.

Catholic Campus Ministry Open House


Time: 5-8 p.m.
Location: CCM (Catholic Campus Ministry Center, 1200 Hebard Court)

Meet at CCM at 5:00 PM, and then we will walk a block to watch the Homecoming Parade. Bring a chair! Afterwards, come enjoy an Italian dinner at CCM, along with music on the patio, yard games, and more!

The meal is free, but please RSVP to ensure enough food for all.

NMU Homecoming Parade

5:30 p.m.

Join us for the annual Homecoming Parade as a spectator or part of a float.

Participants will line up behind the Superior Dome and on Pine Street. The parade will start on Fair Avenue (in front of the Berry Events Center) heading towards Third street. Then go up Third, turn left on Hewitt, then go down Front Street, and finish back behind the Superior Dome.

Homecoming Awards Show

7 - 8:30 p.m.
Forest Roberts Theatre - Begins promptly at 7 p.m.

The Awards Show will feature Sports Hall of Fame Inductees & Alumni Award Recipients Recognition.

All Alumni Reception

Location: Northern Center

Join us for the All Alumni Reception held in the Northern Center. Groups are encouraged to reserve a table. Reservations can be made with Alumni Relations at (906) 227-2610.

 

Tour New Facilities!

Walking Tours of newly constructed Hospitality Management and Cosmetology Labs inside the Northern Center. Hosted by Loganne Glendening, Hospitality Management and Denise Hudson, Cosmetology from 7:30-9 p.m.

Our newest restaurant features pub-style food, including locally sourced burgers, salads, wings, wood stone pizza and baked macaroni and cheese.  Come for the food and stay for the pool, darts, Foosball, shuffle-puck and more!

Try the weekend special: Gridiron Brisket Sandwich: BBQ beef brisket, Bacon Jam, Pickles and Fried Onions on a Brioche Bun served with a side of chips or fries. $14

The Wildcat Den is open Thursday, Friday and Sunday with their special for Homecoming.

NMU and Marquette Music Social

7 - 10 p.m. at the Marquette Commons

The NMU and Marquette communities are invited to come together and socialize while listening and dancing to music from across the decades in the fresh September air. Music will be provided by NMU's Radio X student DJs with lights and sound provided by Steady Stone Production. The event is free and open to the public. It will be canceled if there is rain.
