has retired following a 49 year career in the field of education. She began her journey as a special education teacher working with students with severe multiple impairments. During the following years, her career path included working as a special education pre-primary teacher, teacher for the homebound, teacher consultant, learning disabilities teacher, elementary teacher, middle school administrator, athletic director, and most recently, guidance counselor.
