Brad Fuerst 03 BS

has accepted a position as an assistant area management biologist with the Kodiak Salmon and Herring Management office of the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, helping to manage commercial subsistence fisheries in the Kodiak Management Area. His wife, Nicole (Nowak) Fuerst ‘01 BA, is a teacher for the Kodiak Island Borough School District and coordinator of the Kodiak Virtual Learning Academy (KVLA), an online education tool for independent study courses. She is also a governing board member of the Alaska Distance Learning Consortium, a State of Alaska Department of Education initiative to provide training for teachers on distance instruction methods.
