Requesting a Transcript

NMU has collaborated with the National Student Clearinghouse to provide online transcript ordering software. Transcripts ordered online come directly from Northern Michigan University using the specialty ordering system. All current and former students* can order transcripts online anytime using a major credit card. Requesting a transcript online is convenient and fast and you will get automated status notifications via email and/or text. The automated electronic PDF's are sent to a designated email account in less than 30 minutes or delivered to many institutions via Electronic Transfer (ETX) in a matter of minutes.

Currently Enrolled Students

Read all the information first! If you are not currently enrolled, go to the Former Students heading. If you are not currently enrolled, you do not have access to My.NMU. Use the link provided under Former Students.

There is an option to attach a transcript matching form, if required, for institutions such as AMCAS PharmCAS, PTCAS, etc.  You can order as many transcripts as you like in a single session.

Transferring?
If you pre-enrolled for the fall/winter or summer semester at NMU, those courses will appear on your transcript. You will be required to provide an additional transcript to your new college once those courses are completed or dropped.

Transcript Holds
If you have a transcript hold (financial hold and/or laptop hold) and you are unable to submit a transcript request, please go to ebill@nmu.edu or contact the Student Service Center at email: ssc@nmu.edu or (906) 227-1221.

December Graduates - Hold for Degree Posting
Summer Graduates: degrees are now posted to transcripts. Students can verify their degree posting on My.NMU  by viewing their unofficial transcript.

Degrees are posted manually and are not on transcripts at the time grades are issued in December.

Please do not select the Hold for Degree Posting option unless you are graduating in December 2021. Students can verify their degree posting on My.NMU  by viewing their unofficial transcript.

Prior NMU Graduates – Please do not check hold for degree posting, as your transcript request will not process with that designation. It will be coded and held for the next graduation cycle. Please select the "Process As Is" option.

Fall Semester Grades - Hold for Posting of Grades
Selecting the Hold for Posting of Grades will hold your transcript for release in December prior to degree posting, if applicable. Summer College grades are now posted on transcripts. Students can verify their grades issued on My.NMU. Do not check the "Hold For Posting of Grades" option if you want your transcript released now.
