Description |
40 CFR part 370) establishes reporting requirements for providing the public with important information on the hazardous chemicals in their communities. Reporting raises community awareness of chemical hazards and aids in the development of State and local emergency response plans.
Report Due: By March 1st of each year, the owner or operator of any facility which is required to have available a material safety data sheet for a hazardous chemical under OSHA shall prepare and submit an emergency and hazardous chemical inventory. Where to Submit the Reports The Update and Annual reports must be submitted to ALL of the following agencies: • Michigan SARA Title III Program Reporting: SARA Title III Tier II Reporting (michigan.gov). This is submitted online: • LEPC (Local emergency planning committee) • Local fire department |
