Description |
Requires all active registrants to file quarterly activity reports with the Clerk of the U.S. House of Representatives and the Secretary of the U.S. Senate. Quarterly Activity Report Deadlines: April 20 First Quarter (January 1 - March 31) July 20 Second Quarter (April 1 - June 30) October 20 Third Quarter (July 1 - September 30) January 20 Fourth Quarter (October 1 - December 31). Requires institutions to register if they employ (as a salaried employee) individuals who make at least two lobbying contacts each six months and devote 20% of their time to lobbying activities and incur expenses for lobbying of $20,000 or more in a six-month period. Permits tax exempt charitable organizations required to report lobbying expenses by the IRC to report, under this law, only good faith estimates of such expenses in order to meet reporting requirements. |
