| Description |
This biannual reporting requirement was implemented in April of 2025, and applies to the PEIF Swimming and Diving Pools. The submission is due by April 1st every 2 years. Sampling, analysis, preservation technique, sample holding time, and sample container requirements are provided under 40 CFR Part 136 as authorized by section 304(h) of the Clean Water Act (CWA). The NPDES permit program aims to protect water resources by addressing point source water pollution. Initiated by the Clean Water Act in 1972, the NPDES permit program controls the discharge of pollutants into surface waters by imposing effluent limitations to protect water quality. Although NPDES is a federal program, Michigan has been granted the authority to implement the program. EGLE’s Water Resources Division (WRD) uses a permitting database called MiEnviro. MiEnviro is used to submit permit applications and reports, to post public notices, and to display all permitting information about issued permits. You can access MiEnviro Portal using the link below: |
