James A. Strain, music professor of percussion, will present a faculty recital on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at 7:30 pm in Reynolds Recital Hall featuring music by Clair Omar Musser. Musser, considered the founder of the modern concert marimba, was instrumental in the development, design, promotion and early pedagogy for the instrument.
North of the 45th is an annual juried exhibition of artists living in the geographical area north of the 45th parallel in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. The 2024 exhibition will be juried by Shawn Powell and Annie Wischmeyer based in Kent, Ohio. Powell is an artist, associate professor, and graduate coordinator at Kent State University.
