Wildcats, join us in Marquette, October 9-11, 2025, as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the 1975 NCAA Division II Championship Football Team.

Reconnect with the NMU community during a weekend full of Wildcat spirit, including:

- A welcome party for all alumni and friends

- A special players panel discussion

- A celebratory dinner honoring the team

- A double feature viewing of the game in color, plus the documentary, Put Your Hand on the Line

- A lively tailgate before NMU takes on Grand Valley State

These events are open to the public. Registration is required. Don't miss this chance to honor a legendary moment in NMU history and show your Wildcat pride.

Join us for a tailgate party as we celebrate homecoming and the lead-up to the football game. This event is free and open to the public.

Attendees can enjoy free grilled favorites provided by Embers Credit Union. This event will also feature bounce houses for the kids, a beer garden, and a DJ for fun all around.

Get moving with Native Dance Fitness at NMU. This class is a great way to get in shape while bringing the fun of Pow-wow Dance Moves into your everyday routine! All fitness levels are welcome!

Diwali, or the Festival of Lights, is a holiday celebrated amongst Hindu, Jain, Buddhist, and Sikh communities around the world. It is a community festival which celebrates the triumph of good over evil and light over dark. The event will include a full Indian dinner, dancing and other entertainment.

Olson Library, Department of English, Department of Languages, Literatures and International Studies, Department of Political Science, Marquette Great Start Family Coalition, Social Work Department, Department of Sociology & Anthropology  and the Anthropology Club.

This event encourages participants to rethink conflict and to become involved in civil discourse with people outside of their own social and political circles. By practicing respectful conversation, even when there is disagreement, people are more likely to identify common ground and to come to a deeper understanding of others' perspectives. We will learn about the psychology of attitude change and persuasion, and learn some techniques to engage in conversations with people with whom we may not agree. 

This event is part of Environmental Action Week.

Collectively, we’ll examine institutional structures and interrogate power relations to identify leverage points in systems that manifest environmental injustices. This workshop seeks to empower change agents whose goals are catalyzing social transformation towards equity and sustainability.

Four fantastic local songwriters--Tyler Dettloff, Ash Roskowski, Brian Wallen, and Jon Gillette--will discuss how their music promotes social and environmental change. After explaining their process and craft, each musician will perform some of their original and/or revisited traditional tunes. There will also be opportunities for playing and singing together. Audience participation is encouraged.
