Student on bike

The primary purpose of the School of Health and Human Performance Research Laboratory (SHHPRL) is to incubate and implement interdisciplinary and collaborative research projects with students, faculty, and Great Lakes Sports Medicine Institute professionals. Further, the lab offers university- and community-wide exercise testing and training consultations; group exercise programming sessions; online sport and exercise coaching services at the local, regional, and national levels; and a concussion clinic.

Lab activities are NMU student-focused and provide hands-on and applied experiences in the broad area of exercise and sport science. Evidence-based, best practice is what drives us!
