The International Programs Office welcomes the return of International Education Week at Northern, a weeklong celebration from November 15 to November 21. International Education Week will include events for both students and faculty in celebration of the impact of international education at NMU.

International Education Week Events

4:00 - 7:00 PM | The Woods Lodge 

Join Asian Student Union a fun night of sharing language! 

6:00 PM | Jamrich 1100

Join Campus Cinema for a showing of the international film The Wonders. This Italian film is set in the countryside of Tuscany and follows a family of beekeepers as their everyday life is interrupted by the arrival of a troubled boy and after their daughter enters a competition to appear on television. 

 

4:00 - 5:00 PM | Jamrich 1318

Come hear about the study abroad experience from students who have recently returned from their overseas study. This is a great opportunity to learn more about what you can expect when you study abroad at NMU.

Panel will include the following students: Ryan Stefanksi (Japan), Jenna Uchiek (Spain), Jillian MnKinley (Spain), Minnie Bitell (Peru) and Aila Weychker (South Korea).

This panel is designed for NMU Staff and Faculty interested in learning more about how their colleagues are internationalizing the academic experience for students. 

The panel is led by Dr. Dwight Brady and includes the following panelists: Provost Anne Dahlman, Dr. Robbie Goodrich, Dr. Jes Thompson.

This workshop is designed for NMU Faculty interested in learning more about COIL. The workshop will be led by Provost Fellow, Dr. Weronika Kusek.
