New Faculty Network - New Faculty

The CTL's New Faculty Network professional development events provide new tenure track and term faculty with opportunities to get further acclimated to NMU, develop teaching skills, and build cross-disciplinary peer networks. There are typically 2-3 New Faculty Network events in the fall semester, and another 2-3 in the winter semester.

• Visual Communication Techniques for Effective Classroom Presentations, presented by Dr. Daric Christian (Friday, September 20, 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm - Art & Design Room 65)
• Lunch with Administrators (Friday, October 11, 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm - Northern Center Peninsula II)
• "Surviving the End of the Semester" panel (Friday, November 8, 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm - JXJ 1315)

Winter 2025 (tentative)

• Panel of "Recently New" Faculty (February)
• High Impact Teaching Practices (March)
