Harden Hall
The Elizabeth and Edgar Harden Hall is located off the academic mall. The second and third floors contain the Lydia Olson Library. The lower levels house the Central Upper Peninsula and NMU Archives, Audio-Visual Services, Public Radio 90, and WNMU-TV 13, where students produce the Public Eye News program and have other opportunities to gain direct studio production experience.
The first level is also home to the computer Help Desk, Micro-Repair and Academic Computing. Traditional and distance-learning classrooms are complemented by a spacious concourse suitable for between-class and late-night studying along with Fieras, a restaurant open during the academic year that features house-made Latin foods. In addition, Sundre is located on the first level and features products that are non-GMO, organic, fair-trade, gluten-free, kosher, vegan, and vegetarian. Locally roasted coffee is brewed daily.
An underground tunnel connects Harden Hall with the West Science Building.
