This event occurs in Munising, MI at East Channel Brewing Company (205 E. Superior St, Munising, MI 49862-1055) at 6 pm! Explore what happened when the Barred Owl, a native to the East Coast and Great Lakes region, expanded its range to the West Coast and what land managers are trying to do about it. Lynette Potvin has been an ecologist at Isle Royale National Park for 8 years. She spent a few months working at Mount Rainier last winter on the Northern Spotted Owl monitoring program and while she loves to talk about all things Isle Royale, the story of the owls of the Pacific Northwest is too fascinating not to share.
