Wildcat Farmer’s Market Hosted by ASNMU 

The Farmer’s Market is Tuesday, September 17 from 4-7 pm in Lot 1 near the Northern Center. 

There will be student vendors and organizations sharing their awesome products. SHINE will have a table with a Lunch Box theme giveaway basket! See you there!

Monday, Sept. 16 from 4 to 5 pm - Weekly Meeting JXJ 1311

Tuesday, Sept. 17 from 10 to 3 pm - Clothing Swap in Jamrich Atrium

 

Hoop House 

Hoop House is meeting weekly on Mondays at 6 pm. The next meeting will be Monday, September 16, at the Hoop House to weed, water, and harvest. If these meeting times do not work out for you or you are interested in workshops and events, check out this form. Hoop House will also be at the Wildcat Farmer’s Market on Tuesday, September 17 from 4-7 pm where they will have fresh produce! 

 

Conservation Crew 

Sunday, Sept.15 at 11 am - Yellow Dog River Falls Hike & swimming if the weather permits. Be sure to bring water and a snack.

Saturday, Sept. 21st at 11 am - Echo Lake Hike & Swim. Meet at the OLA for carpooling. 

Friday, Sept. 27th at 5:30 pm - Campus Cleanup. Plan for 2 hours of being outside. Meet at the OLA and we will spread out around campus. All supplies will be provided.

Sunday, Sept. 29th at 11 am - Little Garlic Falls hike and picnic. Bring a snack and water along! 

 

 

NMU Food Pantry 

The fall semester hours for the NMU Food Pantry are: 

101D Jacobetti - Mondays from 1-3 pm & Thursdays 1-4 pm

101B Gries Hall - Mondays from 8 am - 1:30 pm, Tuesdays from 9 am - 4 pm, Wednesdays from 12 pm - 5 pm, and Fridays from 12 pm - 4 pm 

 

E-Waste Collection 

The partnership of Superior Watershed Partnership, Great Lakes Climate Corps, EGLE, and the City of Marquette is hosting an E-Waste Collection event on Saturday, September 14, from 10 am to 2 pm at the Marquette Municipal Service Center (1100 Wright Street, Marquette, MI 49855). There is a fee of $5 per carload. Waste that is accepted includes TVs, monitors, keyboards, cords, routers, DVD players, VCR players, desktop fax machines, gaming consoles, desktop printers, desktop scanners, computers, phones, and tablets. Please do not bring kitchen appliances, coffee pots, microwaves, vacuums, and lamps as they will not be accepted. Contact Kathleen at (906)-228-6095 Ext. 11 with any questions. 

 

Used Book Sale - Friends of Peter White Public Library 

The Used Book Sale will take place in the Peter White Public Library Community Room. The presale is on Thursday, September 26, from 5-8 pm, with a $5 admission fee. The sale occurs on Friday, September 27, from 9:30 am to 5 pm, with no admission fee. There will be a half-off sale on Saturday, September 28, from 9:30 am to 4 pm, with no admission fee.
