Acceptable Materials:
Computers (desktop, laptop, tablets), printers, cables, cords, wires, keyboards, mice, stereo equipment, DVD/CD players, satellite tuner boxes, routers, other miscellaneous items, LCD small computer monitors
No charge for dropping off e-waste except for:
CRT computer monitors – $5 each
Flat screen TVs and box TVs – $5 each
Goodwill Electronics Recycling
Located on 3125 US41 West
Accepted Free of Charge:
Ink and toner, home audio equipment, PCs and laptops, microwaves, cellphones and tablets, batteries, VHS vinyl and disc media, PC and video game consoles and accessories
Recycled for a Fee:
TV's, monitors, printers
Terracycle
TerraCycle collects hard-to-recycle pre-consumer and post-consumer waste and has created new avenues for these products to be recycled. The waste collected is turned into raw material that can then be used in new products.
Listed down below are items that can be dropped off at the SHINE building (located at 1400 Presque Isle Ave.) to be recycled:
Socks
Only used, clean socks are accepted. This does not include stockings, tights, and pantyhose.
Please note that this is not a donation bin, it is used solely for recycling purposes.
Razors
Only non-electric blades, razors, and plastic packaging are accepted.
Please note that items need to be dry when dropped off for recycling.
Oral Care
Only toothbrushes, floss containers, and toothpaste tubes and caps are accepted.
Please note that items need to be dry when dropped off for recycling.
Other Unique Recycling Waste
Medication Disposal
Medications can be dropped off at the Meijer Pharmacy, Michigan State Police Post, and the Marquette City Police Department.
