11 - 3 pm  |  Fall Fest - Northern Center Lawn

Fall Fest is a can't-miss opportunity for students to learn more about local businesses and non-profits, NMU Departments, and Student Organizations. This "opportunity fair" is an amazing way for students to learn how to build connections and get involved at NMU and in Marquette.

11 - 12 pm  |  Wellbeing Walk by Wellbeing - Meeting at the Wildcat Statue

Join Wellbeing biweekly at the Wildcat Statue at 11am for a wellbeing walk! Routes will vary, and they plan to stick to mostly sidewalks. Footwear that is comfortable for 2-4 miles of walking is recommended, and feel free to bring a water bottle. Other departments or groups may join us some weeks, but there is no real agenda besides connecting with each other in the outdoors for about an hour.

12 - 12:30 pm  |  Collective Deep Breath by Wellbeing - Outdoor Learning Area

At the beginning of the fall semester, the excitement on campus is palpable. Familiar and unfamiliar faces, a new class schedule, and lingering summer weather bring the promise of a fresh start. Regardless of whether it’s your first semester at NMU or your fortieth, you may notice another emotion amidst all of the excitement: anxiety.

To prepare yourself for this very common emotional response, set intentions for the year, and simply take a moment to practice self-care, you’re invited to join your fellow students for a Collective Deep Breath.
