We will update this page at least weekly as events get scheduled. We will also update the whiteboard near the wolf (2nd fl WSTN) weekly. Also, some activities are weather dependent (cancellations will appear on the whiteboard). No activities will happen on official inclement weather days. Keep in mind that all activities are meant to be fun and are led by volunteers; this program is not intended to address specific health concerns (please visit your provider for that!)

REGULARLY SCHEDULED ACTIVITIES (Weekly)

Mondays
Lunchtime WALK with Jing Niu (12:00-1:00p, meet at the wolf on 2nd fl WSTN). Meet Jing for a lunchtime walk around campus and to local walking trails. 

Tuesdays

Wednesdays
Lunchtime nature WALK with James VanOrman (12:00-1:00p, meet at the wolf on 2nd fl Weston). Meet James for a lunchtime walk around campus, especially headed toward nature trails.

Fun RUN with Liz. 4:30 (met at the wolf). Fun run of ~2 mi (or however long the participants are looking for) with Dr. Liz Mandeville.

Thursdays
On The Spot MINDFULNESS with Jeannine Barna (7:30 a-8:00a in the Atrium, 2nd fl). This is a welcoming session where you can drop in and learn some techniques to decrease your stress, etc. Start your day right!

ART Therapy Club (Psych Dept) (7:00p in Jamrich 1315). This collegial group led by students meets to de-stress and rejuvenate by working on arts and crafts project. Great place to draw, paint, or otherwise be creative with friends.

SINGULAR EVENTS

December

Dec 1 (Fri) First Friday YOGA - 12:00-12:30 in the Atrium with Toni Fuentes. Bring your mat or whatever else you do for your practice. Not sure or new to yoga? Contact Toni at tfuentes@nmu.edu. This event will recur every month on the first Friday.

Dec 7 (Thurs) Wildpups in the Atrium - 1:30pm Join the NMU Wildpups for a little pup fun and cuddles!

Dec 7 (Thurs) Holiday Painting Project - 6:00-8:00pm in the Atrium (1st fl). Bring your friends and paint wooden "gift tags". About 6" long, the tags are suitable for decorations, being hung on the wall, or actually serving as a fancy gift tag. Great for mom! And fun and destressing to paint.
