Gregory J. Seppanen

Greg Seppanen is a retired teacher who taught U.S. History, Government, World History, and Economics in the Marquette Public Schools for 24 years. Seppanen has 27 years of experience as a Marquette County Commissioner and Chocolay Township supervisor, and has been a member of the U.S. Army Presidential Honor Guard.

Seppanen holds a Bachelor of Science in History and Geography from Northern Michigan University and attended trade skill training in welding at the Northern Michigan University Skill Center.

Seppanen, of Marquette, was appointed to the Board of Trustees by Governor Gretchen Whitmer on December 28, 2020 for a term beginning January 1, 2021 and continuing until December 31, 2028. Seppanen succeeds James K. Haveman whose term expired December 31, 2020.
