Description

VETS 4212 report:  Any entity that is granted a Federal Contract must be aware of and in compliance with the VETS 4212 reporting requirements.  Functionally, HR must confirm with Grants and Contracts the amount of Federal Awards to determine if NMU has met the triggering amount for reporting.  The VETS 4212 report is due in September of each year.

In 2010, the FAR implemented an adjustment for Section 503 changing the threshold amount from $10,000 to $15,000. See "Federal Acquisition Regulation; Inflation Adjustment of Acquisition-Related Thresholds," 75 FR 53129 (2010). In 2015, a similar adjustment to the VEVRAA threshold was made increasing it from $100,000 to $150,000. See "Federal Acquisition Regulation; Inflation Adjustment of Acquisition-Related Thresholds," 80 FR 38293 (2015). While OFCCP’s regulations at 41 CFR 60 Parts 300 and 741 do not currently reflect these inflationary adjustments, OFCCP adopted the FAR Council’s adjusted thresholds for determining whether a contractor is covered by Section 503 and VEVRAA regulatory requirements.

By September 30th of each year the University must file Federal Contractor Veterans Employment Report reporting;

(1) the number of employees in the workforce of such contractor, by job category and hiring location, and the number of such employees, by job category and hiring location, who are qualified covered veterans;

(2) the total number of new employees hired by the contractor during the period covered by the report and the number of such employees who are qualified covered veterans; and

(3) the maximum number and the minimum number of employees of such contractor during the period covered by the report.

Provides the rights, benefits, and obligations of persons absent from employment for military service.
