Description

In order for its students to be eligible for Title IV student financial assistance, an institution must be able to demonstrate to ED that it meets the legal authorization standards of every state in which it operates (effective July 1, 2014). An institution must make available, upon request, to any enrolled or prospective student a copy of the documents describing the institutions accreditation and its state, federal or tribal approval or licensing. In addition, the institution must provide students and prospective students with contact information for filing complaints with the institutions accreditor and with its state approval agency and any other relevant state official or agency.
