Business Intelligence and Information Services
Responsible for supporting the university’s ERP (enterprise resource planning), CRM (customer relationship management) and LMS (learning management) systems and other purchased systems and for developing software applications that supplement these systems. BIIS also provides centralized reporting services.
Educational Access Network (EAN)
The NMU Educational Access Network is a best-effort LTE service provided by Northern Michigan University without data caps or reduced speeds. At NMU, we believe the cost and coverage of broadband internet service shouldn't stop access to learning.
The EAN is a creative and affordable way of bringing high-speed educational broadband with a full range of educational opportunities to rural America. The EAN’s epicenter is located at Northern Michigan University, the educational leader of technology in the Upper Peninsula.
Telecom
It is the mission of the Telecommunications Division to provide Network Connectivity, Telephone and Voice Mail services, to the students, faculty and staff of Northern Michigan University.
Telecom provides services including consulting, billing, voice mail, phone, telephone line and network node installation and voicemail.

Help Desk
The HelpDesk is committed to providing the highest level of quality support to NMU students, faculty, and staff. We support NMU network connections, network services, and NMU issued software and computers, including notebooks issued to students as part of NMU's TLC Program. Limited support for other systems may be provided or referred to other service providers on campus as available.
