Northern Climate Network is hosting the Climate@Noon Series! The Climate@Noon Series is campus-wide consortium providing opportunities for faculty, staff, students, and community members to discuss and learn about climate change in our region. The Northern Climate Network is free and open to the public and co-sponsored by Marquette’s Climate Adaptation Task Force. All Climate@Noon events take place in Jamrich 1311.

Below are the dates for Climate@Noon throughout Fall 2024:

October 4th, 12-1 pm: Ali O'Neal from Partridge Creek Compost

What happens to your waste after you throw it in your garbage bin at home, and why does it matter? Ali O'Neal will be teaching us about how our daily habits surrounding waste disposal have a huge impact on climate change and our local environment. Attendees are invited to join this interactive presentation to learn about the environmental and social impacts of both composting and recycling and will walk away with tangible steps to lessen their personal environmental footprint.

If you cannot attend this awesome presentation, you can learn more about Partridge Creek Composting here

November 1st, 12-1 pm:  Dr. Alex Stoner will discuss climate change & higher education.
