Grad Closet - Associated Students of NMU

ASNMU has a longstanding program where we rent out Commencement Caps & Gowns to graduating students. Each semester, about a month out from Commencement, an email will be sent out with a form that students must fill out in order to be considered for a rental. These items are first come first serve, and we only have a certain amount of each size. We have a large stock of gowns that only gets bigger every year, so we do our best to give access to as many students as possible! 

We do not supply tassels, those will need to be bought by the graduating student. 

If you are graduating and would like to donate your cap and/or gown to the ASNMU Grad Closet, please drop your items off at the ASNMU office in 1203 Northern Center or at the NMU Police Department. There will be an informational slide about this at the end of the Commencement Slideshow. 

Students assume responsibility for the gowns when they are rented. If caps & gowns are returned damaged, or not returned at all, the student will assume financial responsibility for the items and be charged the full graduation package amount. An email will be sent to students with return information the week of Commencement.
