Beginning College Survey of Student Engagement (BCSSE)
BCSSE collects data about entering students' prior academic and co-curricular experiences, as well as their expectations for participating in educationally purposeful activities during the coming college year. NMU administers BCSSE to first-year, transfer, and older students prior to the start of fall or winter classes.
National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE)
NSSE collects information about first-year and senior students' participation in programs and activities that NMU provides for learning and personal development. The results give an estimate of how undergraduates spend their time and what they gain from attending college. NMU administers NSSE to first-year and senior students every other year.
Healthy Minds Survey (HMS)
in conjunction with the University of Michigan, NMU is conducting a campus-wide survey about student and faculty/staff health and wellbeing called the Healthy Minds Survey. What NMU learns from this survey will be used to inform wellbeing policy, programs and services for the benefit of our campus community
