About the Team

The NMU Club Cross Country team was founded in 2015. We are seeking dedicated and motivated runners who aspire to compete at the collegiate level and achieve personal growth. No prior experience is necessary, although having a driven mindset and enthusiasm for participation are essential. The team plans to compete in multiple meets during the upcoming 2026 season, which will involve traveling. We also dedicate one week during the season for trail running. Additionally, we compete in local races and events as a team. While participation in races is optional, all team members are strongly encouraged to join any team events, including volunteering opportunities.

Dues: A $20 fee is required for team participation which will be used to cover meet expenses. Additional funds may be needed depending on personal meet participation and travel expenses.

Participants Must Supply: PEIF Rec Pass for Fall/Winter semesters, proper running shoes, and attire. Uniform tops are provided.

Travel: The team travels to various meets throughout Michigan, including Lake Superior State University, Northwood University and Muskegon Community College, as well as some local meets.

Practice: The team meets four days a week, from Monday to Thursday, outside the Lodge connected to the Woods dorm building. An exact meeting time will be determined before or during the first meeting of the season, but may be moved to earlier in the evening once daylight saving time is in effect.
