Lacrosse Team 2022

About the Team

The Northern Michigan Men's Lacrosse team is a student-run competitive collegiate lacrosse club. The team competes in the Great Lakes Lacrosse League (GLLL). In 2022 the team finished conference play 5-1 and made it all the way to the Division 2 championship where they finished 2nd. This is a year round sport as the team usually takes part in a few fall tournaments, most of which take place at UW-Madison. During the winter semester, the team participates in league play in the GLLL Central Division. The Central Division is made up of UW-Milwaukee, UW-Madison, UW-Oshkosh, UW-Platteville, UW-Stevens Point, UW-Whitewater, Marquette and Mad Cow Lacrosse Club. The team typically travels to Wisconsin or the lower peninsula for league games but has been able to host games in the Superior Dome as well.

The club is not limited to these locales. Each season they choose who they will play and where to travel to. The fate of the 'Cats lacrosse team is in both the hands of its leaders and members. This is a self motivated team that loves the sport and competition. The team believes in commitment to serve one another as well as the Marquette community, respect for nature and brotherhood. If you are interested in joining the club lacrosse team contact the team president and head over to practice either at the recreational sports fields (corner of Wright & Lincoln) or in the dome. Practice is typically 3 times a week.
