The Rules of Wonderland
Honored guests and curious wanderers, welcome to Wonderland!
We welcome you to a world where the extraordinary is commonplace, where the rules of reality are bent and twisted, and where your senses will be swept away in the curious currents of the unexpected. You are about to enter a very special place—Wonderland. Here, time bends, logic is upended, and the only thing more wondrous than what you’ll see is the journey you’ll take through this fantastical realm.
You will embark on an immersive experience, a unique journey where you are not only an observer but a part of the unfolding story. The dancers—our residents of Wonderland—will move through and around you, drawing you into their world with every step, every gesture, every glance.
Throughout the performance, you will witness the quirky White Rabbit, the enigmatic Cheshire Cat, the temperamental Queen of Hearts, and the curious and mad Alice herself. But remember, Wonderland is a place where things are never quite what they seem, and it is not a world to be touched or tampered with.
The Rules of Wonderland:
1. Respect the Performers: The dancers are your guides through this experience. While they may pass close to you, interact with the space around you, and invite you into the unfolding story, it is imperative that you respect the boundaries of their performance. Do not touch, speak to, or disrupt the dancers in any way while they are in character.
2. Move with the Dance: As the dancers move through the space, you may be "asked" to step aside or reposition yourself. Please follow their gentle guidance and let them move freely. They are there to guide you into the right spaces and to ensure that everyone is a part of the experience. There will be no assigned seats, but limited seating will be available for those who require it.
3. Cell Phones and Silence: Once you enter the main venue, all cell phones must be turned off or set to silent. Wonderland operates on its own peculiar time, and distractions from the modern world will only spoil the enchantment. Please refrain from taking any pictures or video during the performance—you are welcome to take pictures/videos before or after the performance.
4. No Talking: Wonderland speaks in gestures, in movement, and in music. It does not speak in words, and neither should you. To preserve the immersive quality of this world, please remain quiet throughout the experience. Let the dancers’ movements and the music carry you into this otherworldly realm.
5. Be Present: Immerse yourself fully. Wander, observe, and let your imagination run wild. Every corner, every interaction, and every moment in Wonderland holds a story, but you must be present to see it unfold. Let yourself be drawn into the magic of the dance, and be open to the unexpected.
We invite you to leave behind the ordinary and embrace the marvelous. Step into the world where the impossible becomes possible, where every corner is a new adventure, and where Wonderland is not just a place, but a state of mind.
Prepare yourself… the journey is about to begin.
