Why study theatre and dance at NMU?

Studying in the Department of Theatre and Dance provides opportunities to work in your field before you even graduate. You can perform on the Forest Roberts Theatre stage or in the Panowski Black Box Theatre, run a show as a stage manager, and learn the ins and outs of the business from professors who have worked professionally nationally and internationally in dance, musical theatre, and design.

"NMU honestly was the best decision I've ever made. I can't imagine having any other directors, professors, or peers like I've had within the NMU Theatre and Dance Department. With all of the ups and downs I've had, it's only made me stronger.... THANK YOU [to NMU Theatre and Dance], from the bottom of my heart, for always pushing me to be the best me, and teaching me to never give up!"
