Much Ado About Nothing
Let's go ta deer camp, eh? With Shakespeare! Yah, sure, you betcha.
Written by William Shakespeare, adapted by Jimmy Ludwig (Director)
Much Ado about Nothing is arguably William Shakespeare's funniest play: from the witty banter of Beatrice and Benedick, to the incredible slapstick of Dogberry and his absurd 'forest cops', this play serves as a testament to the very finest of Shakespearean Comedy. But it doesn't stop there: from rollicking comedy to searing tragedy and back again, with the second week of Yooper deer camp as its backdrop, let NMU's adaptation of Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing astound you and your students as the very best of what staged plays truly can be: rated PG13.

Much Ado About Nothing Director
A Note from the Director
"Shakespeare was made for the Upper Peninsula.
Truly! A 427 year old play is only worth doing if we can see ourselves in it. And Much Ado at a Yooper Deer Camp is **chef's kiss** good; the tension between the 'haves' and the 'have nots', worlds colliding, practical jokes, searing tragedy and piles of empty Busch Light cans - Much Ado about Nothing features all of these, and coincidentally, so does Upper Michigan. Join us!"
