Robert Pieranunzi, aka Bobby, has worked extensively in theatres throughout the country. He began his career as a dancer with the Walt Disney World Company in Orlando, FL. Thinking he was destined to become a TV star, he headed west to Los Angeles—but the stage kept calling him back, time and time again.

Along the way, Bobby has had the opportunity to work with some amazing artists who have all helped shape the artist he is today, including Alan Menken, Glenn Slater, Sergio Trujillo, Steve Martin, Robert De Niro, Jerry Zaks, Tina Landau, and many more.

Favorite credits include the Broadway National Touring companies of A Bronx Tale (Frankie Coffeecake) and Bright Star (Swing, Dance Captain); the world premiere of A Transparent Musical (Len), based on the acclaimed Amazon series Transparent; Bert in Mary Poppins; Cornelius in Hello, Dolly!; Jimmy in Thoroughly Modern Millie; Riff in West Side Story; and multiple kitties in CATS, to name just a few.

Earlier in his career, Bobby also had the honor of playing every T-Bird in multiple regional productions of Grease. Well… everyone except Danny Zuko. He just wasn’t that cool.

And, after all those years of thinking he was destined for television, those TV dreams finally became a reality when Bobby recently co-starred in an episode of Law & Order: SVU.

When he’s not performing on stage, Bobby directs, choreographs, and teaches for arts organizations, conservatories, and high schools throughout the United States and internationally. He is particularly passionate about helping young artists find their own voices, take creative risks, and discover just how much fun it can be to make something together.
