SAYT AND WPAA Present: The Wizard of Oz
Synopsis:
L. Frank Baum’s timeless tale The Wizard of Oz takes on new life, blending the nostalgic magic of the 1939 film with a fresh, contemporary staging! With all the beloved songs and moments that fans have come to cherish, this production weaves a story of self-discovery, friendship, and courage.
Young Dorothy Gale is swept away by a tornado from her humble Kansas farm, landing in the vibrant and ever-evolving land of Oz. Along her journey, Dorothy encounters colorful characters, from the kindly Glinda and the bumbling Scarecrow, to the heartless Wicked Witch of the West.
To find her way home, Dorothy must navigate this unpredictable world, following the familiar Yellow Brick Road to the Emerald City. She makes friends who help her along the way and in the end, Dorothy learns the most important lesson of all: there’s no place like home.
THE WIZARD OF OZ is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Tams-Witmark LLC.
