Christina (Chrissy) Carr

Assistant Director of Admissions, Michigan's Central Lower Peninsula- First Year and Transfer Students

Hometown:

Kendallville, Ind.

Professional/Personal Biography:

I earned a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from Manchester College, a small private school in 2002. Then, I came to NMU that July to work for Housing and Residence Life. After working with the department for three and one-half years, I joined Admissions in January 2006.

Most Memorable College Experience:

What I remember most are the little things like the late night talks in the hallway of the residence halls and going to eat with the girls in my house. But one of my favorite memories is playing mud volleyball on campus during May Day Weekend with 40 teams hanging out and doing dives into the mud pit!

Favorite Marquette Activity:

Eating at all the cool restaurants in town. Downtown is within walking distance of campus, so it’s great to grab a few people and head downtown--lots of places to choose from!

Best advice you received regarding college or would give someone else entering college:

Choose a college because it’s a good fit for you, not just because that’s where your friends are going. Open yourself up to new experiences and you’ll be amazed at how much you learn about yourself.
