A Note from the Director
Welcome and thank you for visiting our resource pages for counseling professionals and college access practitioners. Whether you are providing college planning services at a middle school, high school, community college, early/middle college, or in your community, we appreciate your connection with Northern Michigan University. I encourage you to lean on us as you support your students on their post-secondary journey.
Please consider a visit to NMU. We'd love to have you as our guest at our summer 'camp' or personalized visit. We hosted counselor and family summer camp experiences in July 2018 and 2019 and 2022 and 2023. It was fun meeting counselors and their family members and sharing our love of NMU and the Marquette area. Kudos to those who climbed Sugarloaf Mountain or jumped off Black Rocks into Lake Superior! Consider joining us in Summer 2024: July 24 - 26, 2024. (You can sign up to receive an email notification when registration opens.)

NMU Tuition Advantage
If your students qualify for the Michigan Achievement Scholarship and a Federal Pell Grant, NMU is committed to providing the remainder of their NMU tuition.
The NMU Tuition Advantage is a last dollar scholarship that provides funding for tuition after Federal, state and institutional funding is used. This includes a Federal Pell Grant, the Michigan Achievement Scholarship, NMU scholarships/grants and any tuition-specific internal or external funds. Please note: NMU's Global Campus students are not eligible for the Tuition Advantage Program.
