Your access to benefits at NMU is active once you've received your confirmation email.
First: set up your MyNMU account for the first time.
Second: Tell us more about you if you haven't provided Supplemental Information.
2. Get your NMU ID card
Your ID card will be needed to access certain benefits and features at NMU. You need to activate MyNMU first! You can then submit your photo online to the Wildcat Express Center using the link below. Please carefully read the photo guidelines to ensure your picture is not rejected.
Your ID card will be given to GCC when it's ready - we'll let you know where to pick it up and when!
3. Attend Athletic Events
Hockey, Volleyball, and Basketball - Tickets become available for students to obtain/claim at noon (EST) on the Sunday before each home game. Students can obtain their ticket at any NMU ticket outlet, including the tickets.nmu.edu website using their student login credentials.
Football - Show valid student ID at the entrance to the event. Tickets are limited to one per ID

- Golf (Men's and Women's) - Marquette Golf Club
- Nordic Skiing - Various sites throughout the community
- Soccer (Men's and Women's) - NMU Soccer Field (East of the Superior Dome)

- Track and Field - Superior Dome
Advising
Your advisor is prepared to meet with you! They have NMU documents to guide course selection and make your transfer easier.

Preparing for Transfer
It's never too early to be ready!
- Ensure NMU has all of your official transcripts
- PSST! GCC will send NMU a free copy of your official Gogebic transcript!
- If you have earned less than 12 college credits after high school graduation, before you attend NMU, we require your final high school transcript. Any student may still be asked to submit a high school transcript by the Financial Aid Office for aid requirements.
- Explore living on campus! Residence halls or apartment life, plus our amazing dining locations.
- Plan your financial aid. Fill out your FAFSA before you attend NMU, and also see what scholarships you're eligible for.
- We have a full-ride scholarship that includes transfer students!
- A student competing in Presidential Scholars must be admitted to NMU as a degree-seeking student before the competition date. You will need to submit official documents such as transcripts to NMU before competing.
- PTK members are eligible for an extra $1,000/year scholarship - renewable. Send membership proof to admissions@nmu.edu
