Personal/Professional Biography:

I attended NMU as a first-generation undergraduate student and earned a bachelors degree with a double major in Psychology and Health Education. I earned my masters degree in Education with a specific focus in school counseling and am a licensed school counselor. I also earned my Emergency Medical Technician license through the UPHS Marquette School of EMT, which transferred to NMU as
advanced placement credit. Working in higher education is personally rewarding - whether it is directly with students and/or faculty and staff to make the college navigation experience rewarding for students.

Favorite Marquette Activity:

I am a member of the Superior-land Pet Partners and the NMU Wild-pups and enjoy volunteering with my dog, Madison.

Most Memorable College Experience:

What I remember most are the friendships that I formed while at NMU.  My randomly assigned roommate became one of my best friends and I was involved in the Health Promotion Society, NMU Cheerleading, Alpha Phi Omega and a peer-mentoring program.  I will always cherish those friendships and experiences.

Best advice you received regarding college or would give someone else entering college:

Do not be afraid to ask for help.  You are not expected to already know everything when you get to college.  Try new activities, say hi to people that you do not know and embrace the personal growth that will happen.
