The Central Upper Peninsula and Northern Michigan University Archives is open to the public and there is no charge for in-person research or for research assistance. We welcome questions and e-mails!
If you cannot visit us in-person, we can provide one hour of free research and digitization. After that, we do charge for research due to limited staff time.
Fees
Due to limited staff time and printing costs, we do charge for the following services.
Please be aware that the Archives can only accept payment in the form of cash or check. If a patron is out of the country, payment for services can be made via www.flywire.com by selecting "Northern Michigan University."
Paper copies: 10 cents per page
If copying takes longer than 30 minutes, there will be an additional $9 charge for each extra 30 minutes spent copying.
Digital copies: Free for requests under 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, there will be an additional $9 charge for each 30 minutes.
Research for Remote Patrons: $18 after the first hour
