Master of Social Work

The mission of this program is to prepare advanced practitioners of social work by extending the department's and profession's commitment to higher learning that promotes service, social justice, human rights, and dignity, worth and well-being of individuals, groups, families, organizations, and communities through specialized clinical and macro practice.

Opportunity

The Master of Social Work is truly made for anyone.

Our global campus option for distance students is zoom facilitated learning and synchronous with our traditional face to face courses! This is not a self-paced learning process and students will be integrated into the face-to-face classroom learning environment!

The program is offered in both Advanced Standing and Regular Standing tracks, and can be completed in as little as one year.

Students can further personalize their degree with either a Clinical or Policy, Planning, and Administration concentration.

Callie Torkelson

As a social work major, I get to do an internship for my senior year. Currently, I am working as a social work intern at the Janzen House, which is a transitional housing unit for men over the age of 18 experiencing homelessness. Through this practicum experience, I have been able to build upon all the skills I learned in class on how to be an effective practitioner.
