language certification options

Language Certification

Interested in learning a new language? Consider a language certification! Certifications are listed on a student's transcript and complement any major or minor. Each certification requires only 8 credits (2 language courses!), earning a "C" or better at a 100 (basic), 200 (intermediate), or 300 (advanced) level.

Are you currently in the second class to fulfill a certification (such as 102, 202, 302/310)? If possible, please apply by the 13th week of the semester. Certification requests are processed after the semester has ended, and printed certificates are typically available during the department's kickoff event of the following semester.
