Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR)
The university and federal research funding agencies require academic researchers to follow policies and procedures to ensure the ethical conduct of academic research. The National Science Foundation (NSF) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) also require that all undergraduate students, graduate students, and post-doctoral researchers who receive financial support for research through NSF or NIH receive training and oversight in the responsible conduct of research (RCR). NMU uses CITI training to provide basic Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR).
