Intellectual Property

The products of human imagination are intellectual property. At Northern Michigan University, they may take the form of a journal publication, a laboratory manual, a text, a machine, an invention, or any innovation that comes from a faculty or staff member's research or project. NMU has an internal policy, procedures, and training regarding the development and ownership of intellectual property. NMU uses the CITI program for Intellectual Property training.
