Professional/Personal Biography:
I graduated from Northern Michigan University with a bachelor's degree in Biology as a first-generation college student and later earned my master's degree in Higher Education Administration from the University of Arizona. Throughout my career in higher education, I have enjoyed helping students navigate the college experience, find their sense of belonging, and connect with opportunities that support their personal and academic growth. I truly look forward to helping future Wildcats discover all that NMU has to offer and find their own path to success.
Most Memorable College Experience:
During my junior year at NMU, I had the opportunity to travel to New Orleans to present my undergraduate research at a conference through the McNair Scholars Program. It was my first time having an opportunity like that, and it made me realize how many doors college could open.
Favorite Marquette Activity:
Exploring the outdoors, whether it's going for a walk with my dogs, spending time on the water, or just enjoying the beautiful scenery of the Upper Peninsula.
Best advice you received regarding college or would give someone else entering college:
Don't feel like you need to have everything figured out right away. Take advantage of opportunities to try new things, get involved, ask questions, and meet people. Some of the most meaningful experiences in college come from stepping outside your comfort zone and being open to possibilities you hadn't considered.
