We're so glad you're trekking North! Here's how to enroll as a transfer student:

This will be the hub of your transfer process. Activating MyNMU doesn't mean you're coming to Northern, but it will give you access to more information and next steps.

Transfer students have a couple of options. Choose between a self-paced online orientation session that you can do on your own time, or the scheduled transfer session that happens before your semester start.

Housing and Residence Life is dedicated to student learning inside and outside of the classroom by creating unique communities for students to call home in the residence halls and on-campus apartments. We have found that every student and family has different needs, so the steps listed below may vary for you in timing, order, or importance. No matter what your situation, please know your admissions counselor is here to listen and to help. Please contact your counselor if any questions arise.

If you are earning college credit prior to orientation, remember to request college transcripts and AP or IB exam scores sent to NMU. The earlier we receive these, the more helpful we can be in planning your first semester schedule and academic plan.
