‘HISTORY OF FRENCH BREADS’ AT NMU

            A program on French bread baking will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, March 19, in the Whitman Hall commons at Northern Michigan University. The event is free and open to the public.

            Peter Claybaker, owner and head baker of the Marquette Baking Company, will present “The History of Three French Breads: The Story of the Baguette, The Sourdough Boule and The Croissant”. The presentation will cover the history and the baking processes. There will also be an opportunity to taste each product.

            This event is sponsored by the French program in the NMU department of modern languages and literatures.
