The Northern Michigan University College of Business will sponsor “Growth Opportunities in Difficult Times: The Insurance Industry in the U.S.” at 3:30 p.m. Friday, March 27,  in the Marquette Room of the University Center. Scott Reynolds, president of the United National Group, will give the presentation. The event is free and open to the public.

            Reynolds has more than 20 years’ experience in the insurance industry. He will discuss the employment opportunities in the insurance industry despite the current state of the economy. The presentation will be an informative way to think about ways to enhance business opportunities.

              Reynolds began his career in 1987 at Royal & Sun Alliance within its actuarial department, and later served as division actuary of Liberty Mutual’s Business Markets Division. Most recently, he served as president of the Specialty Underwriting Division of AmWINS Group Inc., where he oversaw its program business.
