Northern Michigan University’s music department will present a faculty trumpet recital at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 28, in Reynolds Recital Hall. The public is invited to attend this free event. The recital is titled “International Trumpet Music from around the Globe” and will feature selections originating in countries ranging from Japan to the Czech Republic. Mark Flaherty, NMU music professor, will perform on trumpet. He will be joined by NMU faculty Steve Grugin on trombone and Nancy Redfern on piano, in addition to Jeff Bruning on organ.
