NCLL OFFERS ‘GROWING SPECIALITY MUSHROOMS’ SEMINAR

            The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will sponsor a seminar on growing specialty mushrooms on Tuesday, May 5. 

            Participants will meet at either the Berry Events Center east parking lot at 10 a.m. or Jack’s Foods parking lot in Harvey at 10:15 and travel together to Seeds and Spores Family Farm. Lessons will be given on growing shiitake and oyster mushrooms. A limited supply of a mushroom spawn and a supply catalog from Field and Forest Products will be available to take home.

            There is a $4 fee for members and a $7 fee for nonmembers. Attendees must be registered by Friday, May 1. Contact class liaison Lucille Scotti at 249-3640.
