FOUR GRADUATE FROM NMU HONORS PROGRAM

                Four Northern Michigan University graduates have received the distinction of being NMU honors program graduates for 2008-09.

The honors program is a four-year series of interdisciplinary and department-based courses designed to challenge a student beyond the regular rigors of their undergraduate degree program. To receive the honors distinction upon graduation, a student must have completed a research project of his or her own design and a senior capstone project.

The following students received full honors status (major and graduation semester listed):

 

Michigan

Ishpeming: Jodi Lampi, history and English secondary education (May graduation)

Walker: Kasie Veen, art history and French (May graduation)

 

Wisconsin

Conover: Rachel Hovel, biology and ecology (May graduation)

 

Virginia

Mechanicsville: Karl Mercer, French and international studies (May graduation)
